Alberto Fernández: “Llegamos al gobierno con 220.000 trabajadores de la construcción y hoy hay 450.000”
El presidente Alberto Fernández encabezó el acto de cierre de la Convención Anual de la Cámara Argentina de la Construcción (CAMARCO) junto a Gustavo Weiss, titular de la entidad que nuclea a todos los actores del sector, uno de los principales impulsores del crecimiento de la economía y el empleo en el país.
“Pusimos en marcha y estamos haciendo más de 6000 obras en toda la Argentina, con una inversión que es más o menos del 1.8 del PBI anual promedio; 3600 obras ya están terminadas y, pese a todo lo que nos pasó, nada nos detuvo y seguimos trabajando”, remarcó el mandatario en el predio de La Rural, acompañado también por el secretario general de la UOCRA, Gerardo Martínez.
“Llegamos al gobierno con 220.000 trabajadores de la construcción y hoy hay 450.000, más del doble de lo que recibimos”, detalló el Presidente y destacó que “no hay un solo municipio de la Argentina que no haya recibido una obra pública”en las 23 provincias del país y en la Ciudad Autónoma de Buenos Aires.
“Si en los próximos diez años ustedes (los empresarios) están preocupados porque haya más hospitales en Argentina, hablen con nosotros porque los que hacemos hospitales en la Argentina somos nosotros. Si quieren que se hagan escuelas, no duden más, hablen con nosotros. Porque los que construyen centros de atención infantil, jardines de infantes, escuelas y universidades somos nosotros”, reafirmó el Jefe de Estado.
En este marco agregó: “La mejor sociedad que hicimos fue la sociedad que otorgó derechos a los argentinos. Y la mejor propuesta que nos hacen los otros es sacarles derechos a los argentinos”. Asimismo, reafirmó que “tenemos un futuro promisorio, el mundo nos está pidiendo todo lo que tenemos, lo que no tenemos que hacer es equivocarnos”.
En el cierre de sus palabras, el Presidente reparó en el subtítulo de la Convención, ‘El trabajo en equipo’, y puntualizó que “si somos capaces de convertir este sueño en el sueño de todos, ya no será solo una persona que sueña: vamos a cambiar la realidad”.
Weiss, por su parte, remarcó que “la edición 68 de nuestra Convención ha confirmado que este es el ámbito ideal para pensar la infraestructura que necesitamos, las viviendas que nuestra comunidad requiere para dialogar y consensuar acciones y políticas permanentes”, y puso en valor que “desde mediados de 2020 nuestra industria experimenta un crecimiento que ha llevado a batir récords históricos de consumo de cemento, principal indicador de la actividad”.
“Son muchas las obras que se hacen, los puestos de trabajo que recuperamos y las nuevas empresas que se sumaron a la actividad, pero, sin dejar de valorar esos logros y asumiendo el rol protagónico que las políticas públicas nos han dado como sector anticíclico por excelencia, queremos ir por más. Necesitamos ir por más”, reafirmó.
Bajo la premisa “Construyendo redes. El presente es en equipo”, el encuentro reunió a los principales actores del sector con el objetivo de intercambiar ideas y experiencias.
Además, expusieron los ministros de Economía, Sergio Massa, de Obras Públicas, Gabriel Katopodis, de Transporte, Diego Giuliano y de Desarrollo Territorial y Hábitat Santiago Maggiotti.
De acuerdo con el último registro del Indec, la construcción en el país creció 3,4% en abril de este año respecto de marzo, y esa mejora sirvió para acumular 9,8% de crecimiento en los primeros cuatro meses del año, lo que consolida al sector como uno de los principales motores del empleo.
