Andrés Watson asumió un nuevo mandato como intendente
El reelecto jefe comunal, Andrés Watson, prestó juramento para el cargo de Intendente durante el período 2023-2027 ante la asamblea legislativa esta tarde en el Polideportivo Municipal “La Patriada” donde concurrieron representantes de diferentes sectores de la comunidad.
El Alcalde agradeció tanto a vecinos como vecinas “el contundente apoyo y confianza” para emprender “la responsabilidad más importante de mi vida” tras “un trabajo arduo” que le permitió renovar otro ciclo de gestión mediante el cual “cuidar todos los logros alcanzados”.
Tras ratificar “las banderas de la Memoria, la Verdad y la Justicia”, la máxima autoridad distrital repasó la concreción de proyectos como el entubamiento del arroyo Jiménez, dos pasos bajo nivel, nuevos asfaltos, el incentivo para lograr la radicación de 48 empresas en 48 meses, como evidencias de “la intervención positiva del Estado en la relación público-privada”.
Para cumplir esas metas, el Mandatario varelense remarcó “el imprescindible acompañamiento, respaldo, presencia del gobierno nacional y provincial”. Impulsó “una administración transparente y ordenada” que posibilitó la modernización del 50% del parque lumínico en el partido con tecnología LED o la puesta en funcionamiento del Centro Veterinario, entre otros objetivos.
La primera figura en la Intendencia reafirmó “el respeto a la decisión de la mayoría de los argentinos y las argentinas al elegir a sus gobernantes”. Rechazó “los discursos de odio o noticias falsas” en pos de construir “un Florencio Varela, una provincia y una nación mejor para todos y todas”.
“Veníamos acostumbrados a un ritmo de trabajo eficaz, concreto y constante donde teníamos recursos para distribuir con nuestra gente”, afirmó para contraponer “una desaceleración de la actividad económica” anunciada por el actual Presidente.
No obstante, el titular en el Ejecutivo local priorizó “generar las mejores condiciones posibles e impulsar acciones para cuidar el bolsillo” de la ciudadanía. A su vez, estimó la continuación de “las intervenciones con financiamiento federal en marcha”.
Para concluir, Andrés Watson revalidó “el compromiso de estar cerca de la gente, atender sus necesidades, multiplicar esfuerzos para el bienestar de todos y todas”.
Estuvo presente el diputado nacional, Julio Pereyra; el legislador mandato cumplido, Carlos Kunkel; el ministro de Infraestructura y Servicios Públicos de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, Gabriel Katopodis; los intendentes de Ezeiza, Gastón Granados; de Quilmes, Mayra Mendoza.
Honorable Concejo Deliberante
El responsable del gobierno municipal protagonizó la sesión preparatoria donde las y los flamantes ediles ocuparon sus bancas en el recinto para el próximo período legislativo tras la jura pertinente.
El Mandatario distrital junto al diputado nacional -Julio Pereyra- acompañó en el estrado al titular del cuerpo deliberativo, Gustavo Rearte, durante la oficialización de las y los concejales electos en los comicios generales del pasado 22 de octubre.
El parlamento varelense, compuesto por 24 integrantes, renovó 12 lugares distribuidos de la siguiente manera según los resultados de la última contienda electoral: 7 representantes de Unión por la Patria, 3 de La Libertad Avanza más los 2 restantes pertenecientes a Juntos.
Las nuevas legisladoras y los nuevos legisladores designados mediante la voluntad popular fueron: Eiras, Fabián; Villareal, Diego; Rodríguez, Christian; Ravagni, Laura; D´Aquino, Darío; Pereyra, Julieta; Jiménez, Sandra; Vallejos, Diego; Canto, Marlene; Taborda, Ezequiel; Alaniz, Pablo; Ochs, Marcela.
En ese contexto, aprobaron por unanimidad la permanencia en la Presidencia y en la Secretaría de quienes ejercían el cargo: fueron ratificados en su rol debido a su excelente desempeño. Designaron en la vicepresidencia primera a Beatriz Domingorena; en la Segunda a Lidia Sandoval.
