El presidente Fernández presentó en Avellaneda el Seguro Nacional de Bomberos Voluntarios
El presidente Alberto Fernández encabezó en el partido bonaerense de Avellaneda, el lanzamiento del primer Seguro Nacional de Bomberos Voluntarios (SNBV), que garantizará indemnizaciones y asistencia médica y farmacéutica para 58.000 bomberos y bomberas de todo el país.
“Siempre que en la Argentina hay una situación de riesgo hay un bombero voluntario trabajando detrás para sobrellevar, apaciguar y eliminar esa situación. Eso no tiene valor, por lo tanto todo lo que invirtamos en cuidar a los mejores de los nuestros es poco”, afirmó el mandatario, acompañado por la ministra de Desarrollo Social, Victoria Tolosa Paz, el intendente de Avellaneda, Jorge Ferraresi y el legislador impulsor de la ley, Eduardo Bucca.
En este marco agregó: “Ustedes son hombres y mujeres que ponen todo de sí al servicio del otro en los momentos de mayor riesgo, siempre están al lado del que está en peligro, sabiendo además que ponen en riesgo sus propias vidas. Eso los pone en un lugar en donde el resto de la comunidad no puede hacer otra cosa que decirles gracias”.
Durante los últimos tres años, el Gobierno Nacional invirtió más de 13 mil millones de pesos para el fortalecimiento del Sistema Federal de Bomberos Voluntarios. Además, a través del Ministerio de Seguridad se otorgaron subsidios y se dispuso financiamiento para equipamiento informático, kits forestales, equipamiento operativo, cisternas y para almacenamiento de agua potable.
A su vez, Tolosa Paz reconoció el trabajo de articulación desde los diferentes sectores y de búsqueda de consensos para la promulgación de la ley. “Lo que hicimos desde el ministerio fue trabajar que ese equipo que tiene que dar respuestas inmediatas y trabajar en lo urgente para garantizar la vida por quienes están en peligro” y añadió: “Eso tiene un valor inmenso que solamente se devuelve cuando hay decisión política”.
Por su parte Ferraresi felicitó al Presidente “por ampliar derechos, por dar mejores condiciones y herramienta” para bomberos y bomberas puedan continuar haciendo “lo que hicieron siempre con una vocación extraordinaria en cada una de las ciudades de nuestro territorio”.
Silvina Batakis valoró “poner este tema en la agenda pública”, destacando que forma parte de “un Estado eficiente” ya que “hubo una gestión anterior en el Banco Nación que fue a achicar derechos y no por inoperancia sino por voluntad política”.
A su vez Bucca expresó: “Cuidar a quienes nos cuidan y proteger a quienes nos protegen es una prioridad. Por eso nos pusimos el objetivo y la misión de crear una ley que fortalezca el Sistema Nacional de Bomberos Voluntarios”, y recordó que la normativa fue creada “territorialmente con esa capilaridad que tiene el Sistema que atienden a lo largo y a lo ancho de la Argentina”.
Diseñado mediante un trabajo coordinado entre la cartera de Desarrollo Social, el Consejo Nacional de Bomberos, el Banco Nación y Nación Seguros, el SNBV incluye indemnizaciones por muerte y por invalidez total o parcial permanente, asistencia médico-farmacéutica y gastos de sepelio que alcanzará a 58.000 bomberos y bomberas de todo el país.
La iniciativa surgió a partir de la nueva Ley de Fortalecimiento del Sistema Nacional de Bomberos Voluntarios (N° 27.629), sancionada por el Congreso nacional y promulgada por el Poder Ejecutivo en junio de 2021, con la finalidad de que los bomberos y bomberas que se dedican a salvar vidas y proteger los bienes de la comunidad puedan contar con recursos para brindar ese servicio que prestan de manera voluntaria.
También estuvieron presentes los presidentes de Nación Seguros, Alberto Pagliano y del Consejo Nacional de Bomberos, Carlos Alfonso.
