Ferraresi y Lammens reinauguraron el histórico Polideportivo Gatica
El intendente de Avellaneda, Jorge Ferraresi, recibió al ministro de Turismo y Deportes de la Nación, Matías Lammens, junto a quien encabezó el acto de reinauguración del Polideportivo José María Gatica, ubicado en el Parque Los Derechos del Trabajador de Villa Domínico.
El renovado y ampliado edificio ahora cuenta con una superficie cubierta de 1300 mts2, que se desarrollan en planta baja con una cancha polifuncional cubierta de 20 x 40 mts., además de área de servicios, sanitarios, vestuarios y el espacio de las gradas. Además tiene un nodo de vinculación con el Natatorio Avellaneda Olímpica y el EMARD, dos importantes centros de entrenamiento de alto rendimiento que conforman un complejo deportivo integral y con infraestructura del más alto nivel. La inversión total conjunta fue de $ 193.400.308,09
En su discurso Ferraresi hizo eje en la importancia de tener “esta infraestructura, que es una herramienta para cumplir sueños. No importa de qué barrio ni de qué clase social sean los pibes. Tienen que encontrarse con una Avellaneda que sea una ciudad deportiva. Nosotros vamos a seguir esforzándonos por tener esta ciudad equitativa e igualitaria”
Por su parte, el ministro Lammens destacó que “Ferraresi entendió la importancia de invertir en el deporte y generar cosas virtuosas. Cuentan con una infraestructura que no tiene nada que envidiarle a otros lugares del mundo. En ninguna ciudad de la Argentina se invierte en el deporte como lo hace Avellaneda”.
Durante el acto los funcionarios firmaron un acuerdo para el financiamiento de las obras de puesta en valor y remodelación integral del Polideportivo José Mármol, en Piñeiro.
En el inicio del acto se descubrió un enorme mural de José María Gatica, realizado por el artista Juan Danna y los funcionarios recorrieron un salón/museo que rescata fotos, objetos personales del boxeador e incluso elementos originales de la película “Gatica, el mono”, de Leonardo Favio.
También estuvieron presentes el subsecretario de Deportes de la Nación, Sergio Palmas; el subsecretario de Deportes de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, Leandro Lurati; el titular del Concejo Deliberante local, Hugo Barrueco; el secretario de Deportes de Avellaneda, Sebastián Vidal; el de Obras y Servicios Públicos, Gastón Seillan, además de otros integrantes del gabinete municipal, referentes del deporte local y miles de atletas de Avellaneda federados en distintas disciplinas.
