Luego de que se filtraran fotos suyas en un millonario viaje por el Mediterráneo junto a la modelo, Sofía Clerici, Martín Insaurralde decidió renunciar a su candidatura como concejal de Lomas de Zamora en la boleta de Unión por la Patria. Cabe destacar que el sábado por la noche, el jefe comunal lomense en uso de licencia ya había dimitido a la jefatura de gabinete bonaerense.
Tras el debate presidencial en Santiago del Estero, el ministro de Economía y candidato presidencial, Sergio Massa, aseguró que el dirigente bonaerense no debía competir como concejal en el partido del sur del conurbano.
“Cometió un grave error, renunció a su cargo y debe renunciar a su candidatura”, aseguró Massa, haciendo la presión insostenible para Insaurralde.
Insaurralde encabezaba la lista de candidatos a concejales de Lomas de Zamora, pero tras la viralización de fotos y videos suyos de vacaciones, disfrutando en un lujoso yate junto a Sofía Cleri, el intendente de Lomas de Zamora en uso de licencia optó por no formar parte de la nómina del presidente de la Legislatura provincial, Federico Otermín, que compite para sucederlo.
De esta forma, tras la renuncia, quedará Marina Lesci, actual intendenta interina, a la cabeza de la lista.
Las imágenes difundidas por Clerici desataron la furia de la oposición y generaron críticas al interior de Unión por la Patria. Además, derivaron en denuncias por enriquecimiento ilícito, y que lograron que el gobernador disolviera la Jefatura de Gabinete provincial.
