Más de 4.500 familias de Villa Itatí tendrán acceso al agua potable
El ministro Agustín Simone, la intendenta Mayra Mendoza, la directora del OPISU, Romina Barrios, y representantes de la empresa AySA firmaron un acta para dar inicio a la obra de agua y cloacas.
El Ministerio de Hábitat y Desarrollo Urbano, a través del Organismo Provincial de Integración Social y Urbana (OPISU), comenzará una obra de instalación de las cañerías distribuidoras de agua potable y cloacas y su correspondiente conexión a las 4.567 viviendas del barrio Itatí, en Don Bosco, partido de Quilmes.
Para llevar adelante el proyecto, el ministro Agustín Simone, acompañado por la directora ejecutiva del OPISU, Romina Barrios, se reunieron con la intendenta quilmeña, Mayra Mendoza, para firmar el acta de inicio de esta obra que prevé una inversión de más de 1.700 millones de pesos. También participó del encuentro el director de Desarrollo de la Comunidad de Aguas y Saneamientos Argentinos S. A. (AySA), Rodolfo Rojas.
“Esto permitirá que los vecinos y vecinas de Villa Itatí puedan tener acceso al agua potable, que es un derecho fundamental”, expresó el Ministro y agregó: “Además, se generarán muchos puestos de trabajo porque la obra pública también es empleo y movimiento en la economía local”.
Por su parte, la directora ejecutiva Romina Barrios destacó la importancia de la obra y recordó que, al comienzo de la gestión, el agua potable estaba solo en las llamadas “canillas comunitarias”. “Nos costaba entender que en los años 2000 estuviéramos viendo una solución del siglo pasado como condición de dignidad. Es importante ver de dónde venimos y saber que estamos haciendo las mejores obras que necesita el barrio”, expresó.
Este proyecto, dividido en la zona este y oeste del barrio, incluye la ejecución de 23.800 metros de cañerías destinadas a la distribución de agua potable y otros 23.800 metros de cañerías destinadas a la evacuación de los efluentes cloacales. La obra se completa con 2.157 conexiones domiciliarias para la zona este y otras 2.410 para la zona oeste del Barrio Itatí.
Por su parte, la intendenta Mayra Mendoza hizo referencia a la importancia del trabajo mancomunado entre los gobiernos municipales y provinciales: “Quiero agradecerles por esta gestión. Como intendenta, estoy muy agradecida con el gobierno de la Provincia que nos da la posibilidad de ver el progreso que Quilmes necesita”.
Durante la visita, también recorrieron otras dos obras que el Gobierno bonaerense construye en el partido de Quilmes. Primero caminaron por el barrio Fratassi donde avanza la construcción de 48 viviendas y 4 locales comerciales que se construirán en dos edificios de 2 y 3 niveles. Las viviendas tendrán hasta tres dormitorios y se prevé la construcción de viviendas adaptadas para personas con discapacidad. Además, se desarrollarán los espacios públicos compartidos, se construirán las calles y veredas y se forestará el lugar. Luego recorrieron el complejo habitacional Integración Urbana Pilcomayo, que comprende la construcción de 64 viviendas, 16 locales comerciales, 34 áreas de estacionamiento, veredas, una calle peatonal y la puesta en valor del espacio público.
Al observar el estado de las obras, Simone destacó la calidad de la construcción: “Son viviendas hechas teniendo en cuenta el espacio público y las necesidades de las personas que después las van a habitar, y esa es una de las grandes características de nuestra gestión”.
