La intendenta de Quilmes, Mayra Mendoza, encabezó este jueves en el Centro de Emergencias Quilmes una reunión en la que se llevaron adelante las tareas de coordinación de los equipos técnicos para atender a los vecinos y vecinas afectados por el fuerte temporal que viene azotando al distrito y a la región desde el miércoles por la noche.
Durante la jornada, se continuó trabajando intensamente en las distintas áreas comunales involucradas como Desarrollo Social, Servicios Públicos, Defensa Civil, entre otras, en conjunto con Bomberos Voluntarios y otras fuerzas, y se avanza con los trabajos de limpieza, desobstrucción de sumideros y asistencia general.
Asimismo, las cuadrillas municipales seguirán realizando tareas a lo largo del día y también durante la jornada de mañana y pasado, para atender todas las demandas que vayan surgiendo a raíz del temporal y para solucionar los diferentes inconvenientes que generó la tormenta.
Es importante destacar que, según el último reporte, en menos de 24 horas en Quilmes cayeron más de 90mm de agua, que es lo equivalente a lo que llueve estadísticamente durante todo el mes de agosto.
En este marco, fuentes del Servicio Meteorológico Nacional (SMN) informaron que hace 60 años que en el mes de agosto no se registra una precipitación como la actual en un lapso de menos de un día.
