La Secretaria Adjunta de UTEP habló con Cambio 21 radio sobre las primeras elecciones nacionales del sindicato.
“Lo que vivimos el miércoles fue tremendo, fue una jornada histórica porque fueron las primeras elecciones del sindicato a nivel nacional”, aseguró Morales y agregó que “Participaron 320.000 afiliados de la UTEP en las elecciones. El nivel de convocatoria y participación fue enorme”.
“Las heridas siguen abiertas por el resultado del balotaje. Creo que en este tiempo las organizaciones sociales hemos madurado demasiado y construido un poder social muy grande. Por otra parte, les guste o no, este nuevo gobierno se tiene que sentar a dialogar con nosotros. No nos pueden esconder abajo de la cama. Con esta herramienta sindical seguimos demostrando quienes representan a la economía popular”, destacó la dirigente social.
Finalmente, Morales destacó que “Tenemos que fortalecer la unidad de todos los trabajadores. Asumir en la CGT para nosotros es un orgullo, sobre todo para las mujeres de los barrios populares”.
