Varela Matsuri: una porción de Japón en Florencio Varela
El domingo 18 de septiembre fue una fecha esperada para la Asociación Japonesa tras dos años de pandemia: el retorno a su más esperada celebración que combinó gastronomía, música, deporte y emprendimientos en la sede de la entidad, situada sobre Av. Eva Perón N°7215.
“Un encuentro convocante. Cientos de personas concurrieron, incluso desde otros distritos, por su magnitud”, afirmó el intendente Andrés Watson tras recorrer algunos stands de artesanías situadas en el predio de la institución que describió como “un orgullo, con quienes mantuvimos una gran amistad y fraternidad”.
Una oportunidad que permitió a la ciudadanía reducir más de 18 mil kilómetros de distancia a unas cuantas cuadras desde sus casas. Alucinantes disfraces. Caminatas con un rico ramen. Muestras de karate. Nostalgia de quienes estuvieron más cerca de su país natal. Pequeñas interferencias solo en los idiomas.
El Mandatario Comunal remarcó el rol del establecimiento durante la emergencia sanitaria “para abrir sus puertas, transformarse en un centro de aislamiento primero y luego en un punto de vacunación”. “Un intercambio imprescindible desde lo humano, pero también en lo cultural”, sentenció el Alcalde que bregó por “dejar de lado las diferencias para construir un mundo mejor”.
En forma de círculo, Luis, Carla y sus amigos del barrio La Colonia compartían el almuerzo donde coincidieron en “probar muchas cosas que no conocíamos, increíble descubrir distintas características de Japón”. La típica sopa fue el menú elegido junto a latas de jugo.
Rocío llegó desde Claypole. Recibió una invitación de su amiga para recorrer el lugar. “Lo que más me gustó fue la música lírica, muy similar a las melodías de novela”, contó. Sostenía su onigiri y conversaba con su compañera Gabriela, que vino desde Quilmes y detalló: “Hermoso. Nos pusimos a pensar cuán lejos siempre estuvimos con otro continente; nos sentimos más cerca hoy”. Ambas acordaron continuar el día con la compra de alguna peculiaridad.
Durante la jornada, el presidente de la sociedad organizadora -Fernando Huehara- comunicó la entrega de equipamiento al Jardín Municipal N°5 tras lo recaudado. Allí, la directora -Valeria Saldaño- agradeció lo adquirido y obsequió un presente a Huehara.
Estuvo presente el embajador de Japón en Argentina -Takashiro Nakamae-; el asesor especial de Liga Parlamentaria de Amistad entre Japón y Argentina, Kozo Yamamoto; funcionarios y funcionarias comunales. El diputado nacional Julio Pereyra envió una carta de adhesión a la actividad.
