Zárate: Kicillof participó de la puesta en marcha de una nave industrial de Toyota
El gobernador de la provincia de Buenos Aires, Axel Kicillof, participó este viernes en Zárate de la puesta en funcionamiento de la nave industrial en la que Toyota comenzará a producir el utilitario Hiace. Estuvieron presentes el ministro de Producción, Ciencia e Innovación Tecnológica, Augusto Costa; el embajador de Japón, Yamauchi Hiroshi; el presidente de Toyota Argentina, Gustavo Salinas; el CEO de la empresa para América Latina y el Caribe, Masahiro Inoue; el jefe de Ingeniería de Hiace, Hideki Mizuma; y el intendente local, Marcelo Matzkin.
En ese marco, Kicillof destacó que “esta inauguración es muy importante para quienes creemos fuertemente en un modelo industrial para la provincia de Buenos Aires y la Argentina”. “Después de un año récord para la industria automotriz en nuestro país, vemos con preocupación la caída de casi un 50% de las ventas en enero: menos producción industrial implica menos trabajo, menos exportaciones y menos posibilidades de desarrollo”, agregó.
“No es una discusión teórica, tiene consecuencias materiales y visibles en la provincia de Buenos Aires, donde se radica el 56% de los empleos de la industria automotriz y se produjeron el año pasado el 64% de los vehículos nacionales”, expresó el Gobernador y añadió: “Sabemos que hay quienes añoran una etapa en la que solo se producían materias primas, pero ese no es nuestro modelo: nosotros creemos en agregar valor a los bienes primarios y, al mismo tiempo, fortalecer y cuidar a la industria”.
Tras una inversión de US$50 millones, Toyota vuelve a producir un nuevo modelo en el país después de 26 años. Se trata del utilitario Hiace en sus versiones Furgón L2H2 y Commuter (pasajeros), los cuales estarán destinados al mercado doméstico y de exportación a Brasil como punto de partida para evaluar otros destinos en la región.
Además, Kicillof subrayó “la articulación entre el sector público y el privado para construir un modelo virtuoso de industrialización, con desarrollo e inclusión”. En ese sentido, se refirió al Crédito del Bicentenario que se le otorgó a Toyota durante el último gobierno de Cristina Fernández de Kirchner: “Cambió la historia de Toyota en la Argentina, ya que le permitió sumar capacidad exportadora y crear nuevas fuentes de empleo. Eso es lo que sucede cuando se tienen objetivos claros y se piensa en un país para todos y todas”.
Este proyecto generará entre 200 y 500 puestos de trabajo. En una primera etapa, el volumen de producción será de 4.000 unidades, en tanto que la nave cuenta con un potencial para fabricar 10.000 utilitarios anuales a mediano plazo. La planta compartirá autopartes y componentes con los dos vehículos que ya se producen en Zárate y se exportan a 22 países de América Latina: la pickup Hilux y el SUV SW4.
En tanto, el embajador Hiroshi indicó: “Tenemos la expectativa de que la empresa se siga desarrollando como líder en la economía argentina, contribuyendo además al fortalecimiento de las relaciones económicas bilaterales” .
Por su parte, Salinas subrayó que “sería muy difícil llevar adelante proyectos e inversión de este tipo sin el acompañamiento del sector público y la confianza en la articulación con el sector privado”. Asimismo, Inoue remarcó: “Hoy celebramos el inicio de la producción de Hiace en Zárate, lo que refuerza el compromiso de Toyota por mejorar la vida de las personas generando oportunidades de empleo y beneficios para la industria”.
“Estoy convencido de que cuando Toyota progresa, crece también el municipio, y es por eso que vamos a trabajar para que la industria automotriz siga desarrollándose en nuestro distrito”, expresó el intendente Matzkin.
Participaron también la subsecretaria de Industria, Pymes y Cooperativas, Mariela Bembi; su par de Desarrollo Comercial y Promoción de Inversiones, Ariel Aguilar; la diputada nacional Micaela Morán; y los intendentes de Carmen de Areco, Iván Villagrán; de Baradero, Esteban Sanzio; y de Campana, Sebastián Abella.
