El presidente Fernández inauguró dos nuevos edificios en la Universidad Nacional de Lanús
El presidente Alberto Fernández reafirmó el jueves pasado que “invertir en conocimiento y en educación es apostar al futuro”, al inaugurar los edificios de la Escuela Judicial Manuel Dorrego y de aulas María Remedios del Valle en la Universidad Nacional de Lanús (UNLa).
“Las sociedades más ricas y más igualitarias son las que han desarrollado el conocimiento. Invertir en conocimiento y en educación es apostar al futuro”, dijo el mandatario acompañado por el ministro de Obras Públicas, Gabriel Katopodis, la ministra de Desarrollo Social, Victoria Tolosa Paz, la rectora de la UNLa, Ana Jaramillo, y el vicerrector Daniel Bozzani.
“El Gobierno que nos precedió en 4 años hizo una obra en una universidad, mientras nosotros ejecutamos 167 obras en todas las universidades del país, con una inversión de más de 50.000 millones de pesos”, detalló el Presidente en referencia al Programa Nacional de Infraestructura Universitaria que beneficia a más de 1.5 millones de estudiantes y docentes de todo el país.
Luego de recorrer las nuevas sedes del campus de la UNLa que demandaron una inversión de 145 millones de pesos con financiamiento del Banco de Desarrollo de América Latina (CAF), el jefe de Estado aseguró que “muchos de los estudiantes de las universidades nuevas son la primera generación” que accede a la educación superior en sus familias, y esto “demuestra que para que la gente pueda estudiar hay que acercar la universidad a la gente, como estamos haciendo hoy”.
Las obras del nuevo edificio de aulas María Remedios del Valle iniciaron en agosto de 2021 y demandaron una inversión de $86 millones. Las instalaciones, que ya se encuentran en funcionamiento y benefician a 800 estudiantes, incorporan espacios para la oferta académica de la UNLa, como la Licenciatura en Nutrición, la Especialización y Diplomatura en Gerontología, además de seminarios de las carreras de Trabajo Social y Enfermería.
En tanto, el proyecto de la Escuela Judicial Manuel Dorrego consistió en la recuperación y refuncionalización de un antiguo Taller de Fundición del Ferrocarril Roca, que fue puesto en valor a través de una inversión de 59 millones de pesos y beneficiará a 1.080 estudiantes.
La construcción de la Escuela Judicial había comenzado en 2015, pero en 2016 se detuvo por falta de presupuesto, y fue reactivada por esta gestión en noviembre de 2021. Allí se desarrollarán carreras de grado y posgrado y tendrán lugar el Instituto de Justicia y Derechos Humanos Eduardo Luis Duhalde, el Departamento de Planificación y Políticas Públicas, a la vez que se impartirá la Licenciatura en Justicia y Derechos Humanos, una carrera inédita en el país y Latinoamérica.
En los últimos tres meses, el Gobierno nacional puso en marcha nueve edificios e instalaciones que mejoran la posibilidad de acceder a la educación superior a miles de estudiantes de la UNAJ; de la Universidad Nacional de San Martín; de la Universidad Nacional de Misiones (UNaM); de la Universidad Nacional de Tierra del Fuego, Antártida e Islas del Atlántico Sur; de la Universidad de San Luis; de la Universidad Nacional de Rosario; de la Universidad Nacional del Oeste; de la UTN y del Centro Regional Universitario de Ituzaingó.
Estas obras forman parte del Programa Nacional de Infraestructura Universitaria que cuenta con 129 obras en ejecución, de las cuales 26 están finalizadas, 47 en ejecución, 9 a iniciar o en proceso licitatorio y 47 en proyecto, a la vez que 38 proyectos se encuentran en evaluación para llegar a todo el territorio argentino.
