Ferraresi inauguró la segunda etapa del Paseo Mujeres Argentinas
El intendente de Avellaneda, Jorge Ferraresi y la jefa de Gabinete, Magdalena Sierra, inauguraron la segunda etapa del Paseo Mujeres Argentinas, que se extiende por dicha avenida hasta la calle Casella Piñero.
Junto a gran cantidad de vecinos y vecinas, Ferraresi y Sierra encabezaron un recorrido a lo largo de la avenida, donde, a medida que se desarrollaba la caminata, se presentaban diferentes muestras artísticas.
Así, los presentes disfrutaron de shows de percusión, de la escuela municipal de circo de Avellaneda y la Isla Maciel, del ballet municipal, y el cierre a cargo de Victoria Sancho.
Asimismo, apreciaron el mural restaurado de las Madres de Plaza de Mayo y el de María Seoane, entre otros.
Durante la inauguración de esta segunda etapa, que completa un proyecto integral para poner en valor la zona, también fueron descubiertos los tótem de mosaico en homenaje a diferentes mujeres que hicieron historia. De esta manera, el Paseo cuenta con las imágenes de Betty García, pionera del fútbol femenino; Cecilia Grierson, la primera médica argentina; Noemí Simonetto, primera medallista olímpica en la historia del atletismo argentino; Victoria Ocampo, una de las protagonistas de la cultura del siglo XX; y Micaela García, militante, víctima de femicidio, en su memoria, la Ley provincial N° 15.134 lleva su nombre y establece la capacitación obligatoria en la temática de género y prevención de violencias contra las mujeres.
