Fútbol femenino: primera edición de la Copa San Vicente
En cancha del Club Deportivo San Vicente, se disputó la primera edición de la Copa San Vicente, organizada en conjunto entre la Liga Metropolitana de Fútbol y el municipio de San Vicente
El nuevo certamen convocó en el Estadio Polideportivo Marini-Barciocco del Club Deportivo, a los primeros equipos de Defensa y Justicia, Atlas y All Boys de la Asociación del Fútbol Argentino; y a Estrella del Sur, Estrella de Jeppener y Deportivo San Vicente, por la Liga Metropolitana.
A primer turno, Jeppener y el local, Deportivo San Vicente, empataron 1 a 1; a continuación, Estrella del Sur superó a Atlas 3 a 1, y finalmente All Boys goleó a Defensa y Justicia 3 a 0.
En el final de los tres encuentros principales, las categorías Sub-17 de Estrella de Jeppener y Deportivo San Vicente, animaron un lindo encuentro que terminó a favor del conjunto visitante por 1 a 0, cerrando así esta muy agradable jornada de fútbol femenino.
En cuanto a la organización de este primer evento, la Liga Metropolitana y el municipio de San Vicente, realizaron un gran operativo que incluyó viandas para las jugadoras, atención médica en el estadio y un lugar para la realización de los terceros tiempos, a medida que finalizaban los partidos. Una buena idea que dio lugar a las charlas post partidos y entablar nuevas relaciones de amistad para las jugadoras.
Por el lado del anfitrión, el Deportivo San Vicente, su cancha lució en inmejorables condiciones, que permitió un impecable desarrollo del juego.
El Presidente de la Liga Metropolitana, e intendente de San Vicente, Nicolás Mantegazza estuvo presente durante la jornada, acompañado por su familia, sus colaboradores más directos y los presidentes de los clubes participantes, encabezados por el presidente del CDSV, Matías Muñiz, además de los presidente de los clubes Defensores de Glew y Atlético y Progreso de Brandsen, que también dijeron presentes.
Cabe mencionar, que este año debutarán las categorías Sub 13 y Sub 15, acompañando a las categorías Sub 17 y Primera, y se espera la presentación de la categoría masculina para jugadores mayores de 40 años, quienes serán los encargados de cerrar las jornadas sabatinas del fútbol femenino.
