Se construirán las primeras viviendas destinadas a personas con padecimientos mentales
El ministro de Desarrollo Territorial y Hábitat, Jorge Ferraresi, junto al ministro de Salud de la Provincia de Buenos Aires, Nicolás Kreplak firmaron un convenio para la cesión de tierras del Hospital Esteves de Lomas de Zamora para edificar 60 viviendas para personas con padecimientos mentales en el nuevo Desarrollo Urbanístico Procrear II que se construye en la localidad.
Del encuentro también participaron el Secretario de calidad del Ministerio de Salud de la Nación, Alejandro Collia; el jefe de Gabinete de Ministros bonaerense, Martin Insaurralde; la subsecretaria de Salud Mental y Consumos Problemáticos de la provincia, Julieta Calmels; la intendenta de Lomas de Zamora, Marina Lesci y la Directora Ejecutiva del Hospital Esteves, Dra. Maria Rosa Riva Roure.
Este acuerdo se enmarca en el convenio que semanas atrás el ministro Ferraresi firmó con la ministra de Salud Nacional, Carla Vizzotti, para la construcción de viviendas con equipamiento especial que contarán con dispositivos de apoyo adaptados a la diversidad de sus necesidades y, de esta manera, cumplir con lo estipulado en la Ley de Salud Mental.
“Venimos trabajando en la política de externación de los manicomios y sobre todo con este proyecto, que tiene muchos años de proyectarse y desearse”, sostuvo el ministro Kreplak y agregó que el objetivo es que “las personas que viven ahí hace mucho puedan tener un lugar donde vivir en comunidad, con equipos terapéuticos del propio hospital que los acompañen para tener una vida mucho más digna”. Por su parte, la intendenta Marina Lesci subrayó que este proyecto “tiene mucha implicancia en Lomas de Zamora, porque todas estas viviendas van a estar cercanas a un hospital que tiene más de 100 años”.
Asimismo, Ferraresi explicó que “el trabajo interministerial y con los gobiernos provinciales nos permite seguir fortaleciendo las políticas de acceso a la vivienda que llevamos adelante desde el Ministerio”, y subrayó: “Este proyecto va a dar un techo y, además, permitirá que quienes sean externados vivan en condiciones dignas”.
Estas 60 viviendas se edificarán en el Desarrollo Urbanístico Lomas de Zamora de Procrear II, que contará con un total de 850 hogares y permitirá que más lomenses accedan a su casa propia.
A partir del convenio firmado hoy, se avanza en nuevos paradigmas sanitarios que permitan mejorar la calidad de vida de la población y generar políticas públicas a futuro. Enmarcado en la Ley Nacional de Salud Mental, prioriza las acciones y tratamientos de carácter ambulatorio para lograr una desmanicomialización exitosa. El apoyo integral del Estado contribuirá a consolidar esta propuesta respetuosa de los derechos humanos de cada persona.
