Colonia de Vacaciones 2023: actividades para niños, niñas, jóvenes, adultos y adultas mayores
La Municipalidad de Florencio Varela diseñó una diversa gama de actividades gratuitas para los y las varelenses durante la temporada estival: juegos, entretenimiento, aprendizaje e interacción sin límite de edad en diferentes locaciones.
El intendente -Andrés Watson- supervisó el funcionamiento de las múltiples propuestas para chicos, chicas, adolescentes y personas en la tercera edad durante una jornada de esparcimiento en el Polideportivo Municipal “La Patriada”.
“Muy gratificante ver cómo los vecinos y las vecinas disfrutaron el día en un predio con un plantel profesional, instalaciones, capacidad, equipamiento para ofrecer distintas opciones en una iniciativa inclusiva”, describió la máxima autoridad distrital.
En el caso de los adultos y las adultas mayores, el Alcalde recordó el convenio firmado con autoridades en el Programa de Asistencia Médica Integral (PAMI) para utilizar espacios comunales como sitios de recreación destinados tanto a afiliados como afiliadas.
El titular en el Ejecutivo local subrayó la trascendencia de brindar a la ciudadanía ámbitos seguros, de integración, sana competencia con el objetivo de generar hábitos saludables, contribuir al bienestar e incentivar el uso creativo del tiempo libre.
Tras un día de pileta, Norma Jerez, residente en Pico de Oro, reveló: “Concurría antes de la pandemia. Lo esperaba. Necesitaba un lugar donde reencontrarme con gente conocida. Una maravilla la atención de las y los profesores”.

El acuerdo formalizado entre el Municipio de Florencio Varela y PAMI facilitó la materialización del proyecto en el distrito, cuya presentación oficial ocurrió a comienzos de noviembre 2022 donde explicaron la dinámica: dos días por semana en cada sede.
Las ciudadanas y los ciudadanos adheridos a la obra social accedieron a la posibilidad de usar sin costo los parques multidisciplinarios situados en Thevenet esquina Storni, Avenida Novak en su cruce con Bonn más el de calle Gurruchaga, entre Av. Bosques y Sidney.
Escuelas abiertas en verano
Posteriormente, la primera figura en la Intendencia monitoreó la dinámica coordinada entre el gobierno municipal con el bonaerense: alternativas deportivas, artísticas, musicales y lúdicas sin costo destinadas a niños, niñas, adolescentes en edad escolar.
“Toda la infraestructura del Estado a disposición de la ciudadanía para compartir momentos en vacaciones y aprovechar al máximo la oportunidad de acceder a un circuito atractivo para todas las edades”, aseveró el Jefe Comunal.
La logística en el complejo del barrio Santa Rosa fue diagramada para recibir a 15 escuelas diarias con un promedio de 700 alumnos y alumnas, divididos en grupos según su rango etario.
Definieron una duración de 40 minutos para cada taller temático y rotativo para garantizar no sólo divertimento sino heterogeneidad: básquet, fútbol, natación, vóley, handball, música, plástica y juegos.
La pequeña Ámbar, oriunda de San Nicolás, pidió a su familia volver a la colonia al igual que en años anteriores. “Siempre me gustó pasar el verano acá, hacer nuevos amigos y amigas para jugar, salir a pasear, pasar un rato en linda compañía”, narró.
Durante el itinerario estuvieron presentes el secretario de Cultura, Deportes y Recreación, Mauricio Rodríguez; la responsable en la Gerencia Operativa y Coordinación UGL XXXVII PAMI, Laura Ravagni; la subsecretaria de Educación, María Laura Arue; la presidenta en el Consejo Escolar, Claudia Allerbon; el jefe distrital de Educación, Alfredo Schveizer; consejeros y consejeras escolares.
